We founded our business on three guiding principles: Finding the greenest solution possible. Harsh chemicals should be a last resort, not the first line of defense. By focusing on eliminating attractants (environments that attracts pests) we hope to find cost effective and long term solutions that are safe for your family and the planet. This often involves a tool belt instead of a sprayer. Earning your trust. The pest control industry has a bad reputation – just take a look at this list of common scams. We promise to show up on time, stand behind our work, and treat your home with respect. After all, as a small family-owned business and we’ve found that happy customers are our best marketing tool. Crafting tailored solutions. There is no one size fits all approach to pest control. We’ll assess your situation, present you with the facts, and offer solutions. We won’t sell you services you don’t need. Our Commitment to Eco-Friendly Pest Control We are in the process of becoming Green Pro certified and are currently pursuing membership with the EPA’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program. Meet the Parkers Chris Parker, owner and head technician While you might think all pest control folks are cold-hearted, Chris got into the business because of a love for animals. He grew up surrounded by wildlife in Washington’s countryside. Even after moving to Seattle to attend UW he continued his work with animals by volunteering at the PAWS Wildlife Center. He discovered the world of pest control as a craftsman restoring log cabins around the Puget Sound. His knowledge of pesticides, carpentry and wild animals came together to form Parker Eco Pest Control. Wesley Anne Parker, owner and head of operations Wesley Anne runs everything behind the scenes at Parker Eco Pest Control. She saw how the region’s growth paired with a changing climate were driving pests into their neighborhood and wanted a green solution. After coming up short, she was inspired and Parker Eco Pest Control was born. Wesley Anne is a native Seattleite with a business degree from UW and loves animals almost as much as Chris does. Together they live in Seattle with one dog, eight fishes, and no pests. Licensed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. License Number: 92802

How we control wasps and hornets Our eco pest control approach Physical removing nests when possible Placing traps around nuisance areas Insecticides are commonly used on nests and can be very effective when out of reach, in the ground, or in walls. What you can do to control wasps and hornets Cover garbage cans. Keep areas free of exposed foods. Yellow Jackets and Paper Wasps overwinter as female queens and hives tend to swarm in fall as their populations begin to die off. Be sure to remove any existing nests during winter months while the nests are empty to avoid other pests that feed and live in these nests, such as carpet beetles.
